Forschungsstelle Kulturimpuls

 

The research institute ‘Forschungsstelle Kulturimpuls’ is dedicated to the academic research of the history of the Anthroposophical cultural impulse in the context of contemporary cultural history. The ‘Kulturimpuls Foundation’, which is part of the ‘Association of Foundations for the Development of Academic Research in Germany’, was established for this purpose.

 

Research objectives of the Institute:

 

- The history and development of Anthroposophy

- The cultural and historical context of Anthroposophy and its influence on society and culture in the 20th century

 

Research activities:

 

- Development, implementation and support of short and long term research projects and publications

- Historical documentation of events, institutions and individual biographies relevant to the development of Anthroposophy

- Co-operation with other research institutions

 

The Kulturimpuls Research Institute was founded in 1993 by Götz Deimann, Karl-Martin Dietz, Christoph Lindenberg (†) and Bodo v. Plato, as an independent institution at the ‘Hardenberg Institute for Cultural Studies’ in Heidelberg, Germany.

 

Since 2001 the Institute with its offices, library and archive is located as an independent institution at the School of Spiritual Science - Goetheanum/Switzerland. Robin Schmidt is now the director of the Institute.

 

The research projects and publications are financed through donations and support from the ‘Kulturimpuls Foundation’ as well as other foundations.
